Resumo: Neuroleptics are drugs frequently used in clinical psychiatric and neurologic daily practice. They share the ability to block postsynaptic dopamine D2 receptors in the Central Nervous System. Their potency is directly proportional to that block. Movement disorders are the most frequent and important adverse effects induced by these antipsychotic drugs. This work will highlight some of the essential aspects of distinct neuroleptic-induced movement disorders.
