They were collected to investigate the relationship between environmental factors (e.g., geographical, climate etc.) and human behaviors, which is a long-standing inquiry in the scientific community. More specifically, the present project was designed to test principles surrounding the idea of social thermoregulation, which posits that social networks help people to regulate their core body temperature. The results showed that all scales in the current project have sufficient to good psychometrical properties. Unlike previous crowdsourced projects, this dataset includes not only the cleaned raw data but also all the validation of questionnaires in 9 different languages, thus providing a valuable resource for psychological scientists who are interested in cross-national, environment-human interaction studies.NOVA School of Business and Economics (NOVA SBE)RUNHu, Chuan PengYin, Ji XingLindenberg, SiegwartDalğar, İlkerWeissgerber, Sophia C.Vergara, Rodrigo C.Cairo, Athena H.Čolić, Marija V.Dursun, PinarFrankowska, NataliaHadi, RhondaHall, Calvin J.Hong, YoungkiJoy-Gaba, JenniferLazarević, DušankaLazarević, Ljiljana B.Parzuchowski, MichalRatner, Kyle G.Rothman, DavidSim, SamanthaSimão, CláudiaSong, MengdiStojilović, DarkoBlomster, Johanna K.Brito, RodrigoHennecke, MarieJaume-Guazzini, FranciscoSchubert, Thomas W.Schütz, AstridSeibt, BeateZickfeld, Janis H.IJzerman, Hans2019-07-08T22:36:05Z2019-04-172019-04-17T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/article1application/pdfhttps://doi.org/10.1038/s41597-019-0029-2eng2052-4463PURE: 13185376http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?scp=85065069421&partnerID=8YFLogxKhttps://doi.org/10.1038/s41597-019-0029-2info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T04:34:20Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/74870Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:35:26.917159Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
