Resumo: Este artigo objetiva passar em revista os protestos e as greves rurais na agroindústria açucareira de Pernambuco, Brasil, no período compreendido aos anos de 1964 a 1968, e levantar algumas questões sobre o processo de reestruturação do movimento sindical rural após a instauração da ditadura militar no Brasil em 1964.
