Resumo: In this article, we intend to explain, albeit very briefly, different views on the relationship of the woman with the crime and point out the most frequent offenses attributed to them, with reference to the conditions under which, in the nineteenth century, arose the everyday experience of women in the district of Viana do Castelo, located in Alto Minho, a northern region of Portugal.
