Resumo: The aim of this paper is to provide a overall view of the results of historical recherche concerning Early-Modern Portuguese History (fifteenth to eighteeenth centuries). It is a period marked by the updating of the portuguese historiography agenda with the international one. The PhD dissertations (the main source of this text) cover a wide variety of themes focusing on areas such as economic, social, cultural and new institutional and political history and represents a large body of knowledge that has contributed to the enhancement of the historiographical field of early modern age.
