Resumo: This project aims at a greater understanding of mobile and pop-up books, as their role as a means of transmitting knowledge. The role of the printed book, in the face of new technologies and the appearance of the online book, has been questioned in recent decades. Due to this new break in the reading spectrum, new forms and ways of interpreting the book are being developed. Currently, contemporary pop-up artists face a process of constant experimentation to invent new “sculptures” and works of art to enable an interpretation of their content, like interactive and movable books, also known as pop-up. The choice of theme is due to the fact that it’s relevant to make the public aware of the importance of communication design and the way content is presented for cognitive development. It is proposed, therefore, the design of a book that includes pop-up mechanisms, linking theory to production, for a better understanding of its social and educational potential and in order to stimulate understanding and interest by reading, recreating a need for a book, as a physical object.
