Resumo: Although in rapid decline, traditional popular medicine is still practiced in some rural communities, especially in the interior of the country.Its practitioners, in general, are old folks and, for that reason, we should hasten to prepare a systematized study of that traditional form of medicine that, in a short time, will disappear without traces.In this study, the author will outline a study of the traditional treatment of “cobro” (herpes zoster) in the Alentejo region.
