Resumo: The concept of individual is Kierkegaard's main ontological concept (in fact the only one, properly speaking,). For Kierkegaard it stands opposed to the idea of system, which he refuses. Yet although he refuses the idea of system, his thinking is intrinsically systematic; this is noticeable since his first book, The Concept of Irony. Such systematicity coexists with 'aspect dialectics', a peculiar form of skepticism.
