Resumo: Recently, the Telecommunications Institute of Aveiro (ITAV), the University of Aveiro (UA) and Huawei deployed one of the first 5G standalone networks within the 5GAIner laboratory. Moreover, 5GAIner aims to foster the adoption of 5G technologies by vertical industries. For this vision to reach its full potential, the network infrastructure must support different types of services while meeting the required service levels. To enable the 5GAIner infrastructure to better accommodate these requirements, a Network Management System (NMS) must be integrated with the infrastructure. In this context, the objective of this work is to integrate a third-party NMS with the 5GAIner infrastructure to offer infrastructure operators the necessary tools to monitor and manage such complex system. The integration and development of the NMS with the 5GAIner infrastructure was made using Prometheus and the existing monitoring platform to gather metrics from the network equipment. Results showcased that the NMS takes, on average, 26.4 seconds to detect when a utilization threshold is exceeded, followed by 12.4 seconds for the required Quality of Service (QoS) rules to be activated. These times are limited by the monitoring solution. In future works, different monitoring alternative will be explored to further enhance the responsiveness of the NMS.
