Resumo: In the 1970s, while the environmental crisis began to become evident, the crisis of the family also began. Since then, biases and prejudices in some social and scientific circles have led to a radicalisation of positions that make dialogue difficult between the disciplines that make up the environmental problem. The proposal of the Magisterium of the Church in the concepts of human ecology and integral ecology need to be developed avoiding abstraction or reductionism in order to shed light on interdisciplinary dialogue. Amazement, understood as the beginning of the knowledge of the interiority of man and of reality, becomes the unifying path to understand the transcendence of creation and thus to understand the relationship between the two crises, in the family and environmental.
