Após explorar sumariamente conceito de insight, é apresentado a descrição de cada uma das variáveis envolvidas no processo terapêutico que sejam capazes de facilitar ou promover o insight. Estas variáveis podem estar relacionadas com as caraterísticas do paciente, do terapeuta, da relação terapêutica e da técnica utilizada durante um processo terapêutico. É ainda destacado as intervenções do terapeuta consideradas como promotoras de ganhos de insight. O método utilizado na seleção dos artigos foi a pesquisa eletrónica dos termos psychotherapy change, therapist interventions, therapeutic action, analytic technique, insight nas seguintes bases de dados: PsycInfo, PsycArticles, PEP, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Academic Search Complete, Wiley Online Library, Ovid, B-on e Science Direct, utilizando um critério temporal alargado, de 2000 a 2014. Concluímos que um dos principais impedimentos na investigação de insight refere-se à inexistência de uma definição unânime entre os diferentes autores assim como à impossibilidade de associação entre o insight e os resultados não poder ser experimentalmente controlada, o que faz com que o verdadeiro mecanismo de mudança poderá assim ser qualquer outra variável relacionada com o insight. Constatou-se ainda relativamente à técnica que a interpretação da transferência poderá não ser a intervenção principal ou exclusiva pelo aumento da capacidade de insight, havendo outras intervenções em causa como as de cariz exploratório, de apoio e as diretivas.ABSTRACT: This literature review explores the concept of insight and the variables associated in the process in which this phenomenon occurs. After briefly explore the concept of insight, the description is displayed for each of the variables involved in the therapeutic process capable of facilitating or promoting insight. These variables may be related to the characteristics of the patient, the therapist's therapeutic ratio and the technique used during a treatment process. It also highlighted the therapist's interventions considered as promoters of insight gains. The method used in the selection of items was the electronic search of the terms psychotherapy change, therapist interventions, therapeutic action, analytic technique, insight in the following databases: PsycInfo, PsycArticles, PEP, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Academic Search Complete, Wiley Online Library, Ovid, B- on and Science Direct, using an extended time criterion, from 2000 to 2014 concluded that one of the main impediments in insight research refers to the lack of a unanimous definition between the different authors as well as the impossibility of association between insight and results could not be experimentally controlled, which makes the real change mechanism may thus be any other variable related insight. It was noted with regard to the technical interpretation of the transfer may not be the main or sole intervention by increased insight capacity, with other interventions in question as the exploratory nature, support and policies.RESUMO: Poucos estudos empíricos foram realizados no sentido de perceber a relação existente entre o insight e o uso das intervenções do terapeuta. O objetivo é analisar se as intervenções do terapeuta influenciam ou promovem o insight do paciente. Foram analisadas 2 pacientes em processo psicoterapêutico psicodinâmico ao longo de dois anos. As intervenções do terapeuta foram identificadas com o Tavistock Adult Depression Study (TADS) a partir de 4 sessões do início, 6, 12, 18 e 24 meses. Os eventos de insight através do CHange After Psychotherapy Scales (CHAP) em todas as sessões da psicoterapia. Verificou-se que tanto intervenções de cariz interpretativo como de cariz exploratório utilizadas por parte do terapeuta poderão ter promovido incidentes de insight e mudanças ao nível de outras dimensões.ABSTRACT: Few empirical studies have been undertaken to understand the relationship between insight and the use of the therapist's interventions. The aim is to analyze whether the interventions of the therapist influence or promote the insight of the patient. Two patients were analyzed in psychodynamic psychotherapy process over two years. The interventions of the therapist were identified with Tavistock Adult Study Depression (TADS) from the start sessions 4, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months. Insight of events through the Change After Psychotherapy Scales (CHAP) for all sessions of psychotherapy.
