O estágio curricular teve lugar no Município de Estarreja e contou com a duração de seis meses. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é reunir, através da investigação, conteúdos sobre a orizicultura no concelho de Estarreja, dentro do contexto da produção de arroz a nível regional e nacional, bem como sobre o funcionamento da Hidro-Eléctrica, uma fábrica de descasque de arroz que era alimentada por uma turbina hidroelétrica, como forma de apoiar o desenvolvimento da exposição permanente do futuro museu do municipal de Estarreja. Este ocupará as instalações da Hidro-Eléctrica.Ao longo deste relatório de estágio será feita a descrição do estágio e de todas as tarefas realizadas, bem como do trabalho de investigação que foi levado a cabo. O relatório é constituído por quatro capítulos. No primeiro capítulo consta a descrição do estágio em si. Já no segundo capítulo, estará presente a parte da pesquisa sobre a história, o cultivo e a produção do arroz – inicialmente pelo mundo, seguido pelo panorama nacional e por último, focado em Estarreja. O terceiro capítulo é composto pela história da Hidro-Eléctrica, desde a sua criação ao seu encerramento, contando ainda com conteúdos relacionados com o seu funcionamento e com os trabalhadores. O quarto e último capítulo é o culminar de toda a investigação e apresenta uma proposta de apoio para a exposição permanente da futura Fábrica da História.The present work is the result of a curricular internship for the completion of the Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage and Museology and for obtaining of a Master's Degree in Museology. The curricular internship took place in the municipality of Estarreja and lasted six months. The main aim of this work is to gather, through research, content on rice growing in the municipality of Estarreja, within the context of rice production at regional and national level, as well as on the operation of Hidro-Eléctrica, a rice husking factory that was powered by a hydroelectric turbine, as a way to support the development of the permanent exhibition of the future museum of the municipality of Estarreja. This will occupy the Hidro-Eléctrica premises.Throughout this internship report a description will be made of the internship and all the tasks carried out during it, and also of the research work executed. The report consists of four chapters. In the first chapter a description of the internship itself is presented. The second chapter is dedicated to the research about the history, cultivation and production of rice – initially around the world, followed by the national panorama, and finally focused in Estarreja. The contents of the third chapter are related to the history of Hidro-Eléctrica, from its creation to its closure, which includes aspects of the functioning and employees.
