Resumo: The present dissertation aims to understand how the idea of comfort influenced domestic space conceptions within the Arts and Crafts Movement, with particular focus on the work of Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott and his impact on the work of the Austrian architect Adolf Loos. We will attempt to perceive, fundamentally, how both architects, associated to different architectural conceptions, dealt with the problem of housing, having comfort as one of the main themes of their concerns.
