Resumo: | The objective of this proposal is to deal with the realization process of the short film Cages, a documentary that deals with the relationship between motherhood and the female prison system in Brazil, based on the experience and the encounter between a set team consisting exclusively of women, in order to address an important theme for feminist theory, maternity, in a specific environment: the nursery of the Feminine Penitentiary of Cariacica, located in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. The documentary was scripted and directed by me. The film was built from this meeting between women, especially from their conversations. For the movie crew, listening to what pregnant women and/or with new born children was the main action – what did these women in detention have to say? The data that drove the writing of the plot and the film project was the alarming and continuous growth of the female population in Brazilian prisons in the last fifteen years, which was 567.4%. |

The data that drove the writing of the plot and the film project was the alarming and continuous growth of the female population in Brazilian prisons in the last fifteen years, which was 567.4%.El objetivo de esta propuesta es abordar el proceso de realización del cortometraje C(elas), un documental que trata de la relación entre maternidad y sistema penitenciario en Brasil a partir de la experiencia y el encuentro entre un equipo constituido exclusivamente por mujeres para abordar un tema importante para la teoría feminista, la maternidad, en un entorno específico: el pabellón materno-infantil de la Penitenciaría de Mujeres de Cariacica, situada en el estado de Espírito Santo, Brasil. El guión del documental, así como su dirección, fueron realizados por mí. A partir de este encuentro entre mujeres, especialmente de sus conversaciones, se construyó la película. Para el equipo, escuchar a las mujeres embarazadas y/o con hijos recién nacidos fue la acción principal: ¿qué tenían que decir estas mujeres en situación de privación de libertad? El dato que impulsó la escritura del guión y el proyecto de la película fue el alarmante y continuo crecimiento de la población reclusa femenina en Brasil en los últimos quince años, que fue del 567,4%.L'objectif de cette proposition est d'aborder le processus de réalisation du court-métrage C(elas), un documentaire qui traite de la relation entre la maternité et le système pénitentiaire au Brésil à partir de l'expérience et de la rencontre d'une équipe de tournage constituée exclusivement de femmes afin d'aborder un thème important pour la théorie féministe, la maternité, dans un environnement spécifique : le service mère-enfant du pénitencier pour femmes de Cariacica, situé dans l'État d'Espírito Santo, au Brésil. Le scénario du documentaire, ainsi que sa réalisation, ont été faits par moi. C'est à partir de cette rencontre entre femmes, et surtout de leurs conversations, que le film s'est construit. Pour l'équipe, l'écoute des femmes enceintes et/ou des femmes avec des nouveau-nés a été l'action principale - qu'ont à dire ces femmes en situation de privation de liberté ? Les données qui ont motivé l'écriture du scénario et le projet de film sont la croissance alarmante et continue de la population carcérale féminine au Brésil au cours des quinze dernières années, soit 567,4 %.O objetivo desta proposta é tratar do processo de realização do curta- metragem C(elas), documentário que trata da relação entre maternidade e sistema prisional no Brasil a partir da experiência e do encontro entre uma equipe de set constituída exclusivamente por mulheres a fim de abordar uma temática importante para a teoria feminista, a maternidade, em um ambiente específico: a ala materno infantil da Penitenciária Feminina de Cariacica, localizada no estado do Espírito Santo, Brasil. O roteiro do documentário, bem como sua direção, foram realizados por mim. Desse encontro entre mulheres, especialmente a partir de suas conversas, o filme foi construído. Para a equipe, ouvir as mulheres grávidas e/ou com filhos recém-nascidos foi a principal ação – o que essas mulheres em situação de privação de liberdade tinham a dizer?
