Resumo: The professional satisfaction of nurses results from the interaction with several factors that can influence the performance of nurses, which accentuated the need to deepen their knowledge. This study aims to: understand the influence of job satisfaction on the quality of nursing care, for this purpose, an integrative literature review was carried out, and the research was carried out via the EBSCOhost search engine in several databases, in particular, Academic Search Complete, APA PsycInfo, Complementary Index, CINAHL, Directory of Open Access Journals, MEDLINE and Science Direct, Supplemental Index. After analysis and respecting the previously established inclusion and exclusion criteria, 8 studies were found, which highlight a greater influence of organizational factors than personal factors, in the job satisfaction, on the other hand, they also refer to a direct relationship between greater job satisfaction among nurses and a higher quality in health and care provided. The available literature clearly demonstrates that professional satisfaction influences the provision of nursing care and, consequently, its quality, as well as the performance of health services. It is crucial that managers, regardless of the contexts of practice, pay attention to professional satisfaction as a factor for improving quality in health and define policies and strategies to increase the professional satisfaction of nurses. The present study demonstrates that professional satisfaction has an undeniable impact on the quality of nursing care, despite its limitations, such as the sample and the time limit, which do not allow an unequivocal statement and/or generalization. Although considering necessary to carry out other studies similar and complementary to this one, and on a larger scale, it is possible to say that it was possible to give a contribution to a better understanding of the influence of nurses' professional satisfaction on the quality of nursing care.
