Dinâmicas e Processos em um Centro de Formação Profissional - Possibilidades de Intervenção para um/a Mediador/a Socioeducativo/a

Resumo: This report gives an account of the activities carried out during the internship within the scope of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences in the field of Evaluation and Quality Management in Education: Policies and Practices. The internship took place at the Vocational Training Center for the Textile, Clothing, Apparel and Wool Industry, from October 2023 to March 2024. During this time, activities were carried out that fall within the assumptions of socio-educational mediation, recognized as an essential intervention practice in the field of education and, in particular, in the field of vocational training (Costa e Silva et al., 2018). In this sense, the actions and activities focused essentially on the monitoring and dynamization of Reflective Learning Portfolio sessions and the monitoring/evaluation of an experimental model for the development of activities integrating an Adult Education and Training Course that was being implemented in the current school year. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with the technicians responsible for the various functions, trainers, mediators and trainees, which allowed me, on the one hand, to build a sustained vision of the dynamics of the Centre's operation, in its various areas, and, on the other, to develop activities that allowed me to materialize and appropriate the meaning of the work of a socio-educational mediator in a vocational training context. In other words, throughout this internship I developed and acquired essential skills in the area of socio-educational mediation, with the establishment of communication bridges, active listening and others, and vocational training, with a special focus on the EFA courses, which I recognize as essential for my professional future in the area of Education Sciences.
