Resumo: The work presented here is an investigation that involves the pedagogical sector of the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum and proposes to develop three new activities of cultural mediation for children in the non-formal education environment, involving the theme of the museum. For the same, a study was made of the life, work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro and collections of the referred museum, bibliography, visits and participation in museum actions and also the contents of the institution's official website. As a result, three practical activities of cultural mediation were developed, through guided expeditions and divided into three different moments, involving appreciation, contextualization and practice. The Bordalo Pinheiro Museum presents a wide range of activities in this field and provided the good development of this work by supporting and assisting this research project. It was possible to verify the bold position of the museum in this pedagogical aspect and that it fulfills the needs and duties as a museum and also the detailed aspects of the formulation of new activities as well as the important results of the same to be able to continue improving the quality of educational activities in the field of museology and museography.
