A primeira parte corresponde ao relatório de estágio em Farmácia Comunitária, a segunda ao relatório de estágio em Indústria Farmacêutica e a terceira corresponde à monografia intitulada de “Alzheimer's Disease: Endosomal Trafficking Pathway Dysfunction as a Primary Pathophysiological Event “. O relatório de estágio em Farmácia Comunitária ilustra a minha experiência na Farmácia Cruz, durante o período de 10 de janeiro a 29 de abril de 2022, através de uma análise SWOT (do inglês, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities e Threats), referente à frequência do estágio curricular, à adequação do curso e às perspetivas profissionais futuras, e ainda se encontra exposta a análise crítica de cinco casos práticos. O relatório de estágio em Indústria Farmacêutica ilustra a minha experiência no departamento de Regulatory Affairs dos Laboratórios Basi - Indústria Farmacêutica, S.A., durante o período de 2 de maio a 25 de julho de 2022, através de uma análise SWOT (do inglês, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities e Threats) referente à frequência do estágio, à adequação do curso e às perspetivas profissionais futuras. Na monografia “Alzheimer's Disease: Endosomal Trafficking Pathway Dysfunction as a Primary Pathophysiological Event “ é abordada a possibilidade da disfunção do sistema de tráfego endossómico ser um potencial causador da doença de Alzheimer. O sistema de tráfego endossómico desempenha um papel fundamental na manutenção da homeostase celular, sendo particularmente importante nas células do sistema nervosa central, onde é crucial para os neurónios eliminarem os materiais indesejáveis e evitarem a sua acumulação. Inclusivamente, argumenta-se que a disfunção desta rede é um evento primário, a partir do qual as características principais da doença se desenvolvem de forma independente. Assim, a investigação recente de novos biomarcadores de diagnóstico e prognóstico, bem como de novas terapêuticas para a prevenção e reversão desta doença neurodegenerativa, e não apenas para o tratamento dos sintomas, tem-se focado neste mecanismo fisiopatológico e nos componentes moleculares que constituem a rede endolisossomal.The Document Internship Report and Monograph, presented below, is divided into three parts. The first part corresponds to the internship report in Community Pharmacy, the second to the internship report in Pharmaceutical Industry and the third to the monograph entitled "Alzheimer's Disease: Endosomal Trafficking Pathway Dysfunction as a Primary Pathophysiological Event". The internship report in Community Pharmacy illustrates my experience in Farmácia Cruz, from January 10 to April 29, 2022, through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis, referring to the attendance of the curricular internship, the suitability of the course and the future professional perspectives, and the critical analysis of five practical cases is also exposed. The internship report in Pharmaceutical Industry illustrates my experience in the Regulatory Affairs department of Laboratórios Basi - Indústria Farmacêutica, S.A., from May 2 to July 25, 2022, through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis regarding the internship, the suitability of the course and the future professional perspectives. In the monograph "Alzheimer's Disease: Endosomal Trafficking Pathway Dysfunction as a Primary Pathophysiological Event" the possibility of endosomal trafficking pathway dysfunction being a potential cause of Alzheimer's disease is addressed. The endosomal trafficking system plays a key role in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis, being particularly important in the cells of the central nervous system, where it is crucial for neurons to get rid of unwanted materials and avoid their accumulation. It is even argued that the dysfunction of this network is a primary event from which the hallmarks of the disease develop independently.
