Resumo: | The business context has changed over the last few years. There are new and more complex challenges. Employers take technical skills for granted and technology is increasingly efficient. Although hard skills are essential, they are no longer enough. Managers must develop their soft skills in order to differentiate themselves from others. This study aims to identify tested and validated measurement scales that allow managers to assess their soft skills. The identified measurement scales were analyzed, and information has been provided. Also, it intends to identify concepts, authors and published works important for the study of soft skills under study through a bibliometric analysis. Currently, there are several databases, but this study used Clarivate Analytics' Web of Science (WoS). The soft skills identified for our study were leadership, emotional intelligence, teamwork, coaching, conflict management and negotiation, creativity, communication, positive psychological capital, and stress management. They were chosen based on previous studies and considering current labor market requirements. The results obtained through software VOSviewer version 1.6.11 identified several individual benefits for the manager, as well as the importance of soft skills for organizations. It was found a positive relationship between soft skills and desirable positive outcomes, such as performance and job satisfaction. The importance of developing soft skills in management is also emphasized. |
