Formação em segurança e saúde no trabalho: didática para enfrentar as dificuldades culturais de aprendizado

Resumo: This master's thesis aims to present the content of didactic methodologies aimed at solving the cultural learning difficulties of civil construction workers in the areas of health and safety at work. The work was structured in a systematic and interdisciplinary way, starting by addressing the legal context of occupational health and safety in Brazil, Portugal and the European Union. The work began with a literature review, and then focused on the management of safety and health at work, with a view to understanding the causes of occupational accidents, passing through indicators and monitoring, analyzing people management and adult professional education, especially professional education in the field of civil construction (which, being of an adult educational character, should be guided by the assumptions of andragogy). Finally, a short approach to the topic of occupational health and safety in Portugal was carried out, taking into account the European and international context. The main methodological procedure used was the empirical research carried out in six civil construction companies in the city of Vilhena, state of Rondônia, in Brazil, which provide training in occupational health and safety. This procedure was carried out through the completion of 72 questionnaires addressed to workers, supervisors and managers of the aforementioned construction companies, through which an attempt was made to identify and understand the difficulties faced by those individuals and assimilate the concrete content of the training provided by the companies, from the perspective of unveil its sufficiency or insufficiency. Based on the results of such questionnaires, it was possible to verify that the difficulties faced by the workers were directly related to the fact that they are adult and experienced professionals. In fact, all of them had previous knowledge and habits in the area, thus needing a not merely theoretical approach. Therefore, whenever it is necessary to request the participation of those individuals in training, such participation must be guided by andragogy, which presents its own didactics with greater practical interaction in teaching, providing the student with a feeling of motivation in learning, in order to better absorb and apply the teachings that have been transmitted to you.

O trabalho foi estruturado de um modo sistemático e interdisciplinar, começando por abordar o contexto legal da saúde e segurança do trabalho no Brasil, em Portugal e na União Europeia. O trabalho começou pela revisão bibliográfica, para depois incidir sobre a gestão de segurança e saúde no trabalho - com vista a entender as causas dos acidentes de trabalho - passando pelos indicadores e monotorização, analisando a gestão de pessoas e a educação profissional de adultos, em especial a educação profissional no âmbito da construção civil (que sendo de caráter educativo adulto se deve pautar pelos pressupostos da andragogia). Efetuou-se uma curta abordagem ao tema da segurança e saúde no trabalho em Portugal, tendo em conta o contexto europeu e o internacional. O principal procedimento metodológico utilizado foi a pesquisa empírica realizada em seis empresas de construção civil da cidade de Vilhena, estado de Rondônia, no Brasil, que fornecem formação em segurança e saúde no trabalho. Tal procedimento efectuou-se através da realização de 72 questionários dirigidos a trabalhadores, supervisores e responsáveis pelas referidas construtoras, através dos quais se procurou identificar e compreender as dificuldades enfrentadas por aqueles indivíduos e assimilar o conteúdo concreto da formação disponibilizada pelas empresas, na perspectiva de descortinar a sua suficiência ou insuficiência. Com base nos resultados de tais questionários, foi possível constatar que as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos trabalhadores estavam diretamente relacionadas com o facto de serem profissionais adultos e experientes. Com efeito, todos eles tinham prévios conhecimentos e hábitos na área, necessitando, portanto, de uma abordagem não meramente teórica.
