No estado presente da investigação o panorama natural que denominamos de Paisagem, foi designada como género da Pintura pela primeira vez no século XVI. Até então a Paisagem era o cenário onde interagiam as personagens principais das obras numa cena mitológica, de batalha ou religiosa. A presença da Paisagem na Arte acontece gradualmente, com o desenvolvimento do cenário de fundo, tirando as personagens principais do lugar central, e ocupando o centro do quadro. Através das várias linguagens artísticas, como a Pintura ou o Desenho, e mais recentemente a Fotografia ou o Vídeo, a Paisagem é um tema inesgotável, devido ao apelo que suscita aos sentidos, tanto dos artistas como do público. Contudo, existe uma necessidade de pensar o caminho que estamos a levar. Uma necessidade de parar, e olhar à nossa volta, ou então olhar para linha do horizonte, e ao contrário do que estamos habituados, não procurar o seu limite. Com este estudo teórico-prático, pretende-se procurar o lugar da Paisagem na Arte Contemporânea, onde é abordada de todas as formas, criando-se novas e reais Paisagens, revelando uma imperativa necessidade do contacto e interação com o domínio em estudo; Abstract: (Un)habit Landscape In the present state of the investigation the natural environment which we call Landscape, was designated as the genre of Painting for the first time in the sixteenth century. Until then the Landscape was the scene where the main characters of the works interacted in a mythological, battle or religious scene. The presence of the Landscape in the Art happens gradually, with the development of the background scene, taking the main characters from the central place, and occupying the centre of the picture. Through the various artistic languages, such as Painting or Drawing, and more recently Photography or Video, the Landscape is an inexhaustible theme, due to the appeal it arouses to the senses, both for artists and the public. However, there is a need to think about the path we are taking. A need to stop, and look around, or else look to the line in the horizon, and contrary to what we are used, try not do to seek its limits. With this theoretical-practical study, we intend to look for the place of the Landscape in Contemporary Art, where it is approached in all forms, creating new and real Landscapes, revealing an imperative need for contact and interaction with the domain under study.
