Resumo: Purpose: The purpose of the study is to describe the process of developing a control system for fishing operations on the high seas.Methodology: The research was based on a qualitative, descriptive methodology with documentary analysis techniques during and direct observation of tests and software tests, with agile methodologies for the implementation of the technological solution in 2021 in the city of Mar del Plata (Republic Argentina). The choice of the participants is based on the interest in technological innovations and their early adoption. Results: The solution offered greater richness and quality in the capture data, reduction of operating times and transparency. Its acceptance by owners and captains of fishing vessels was verified due to the availability of statistical and biological information in real time on the target and incidental species and in the interaction with RD organizations for the formulation of public policies aimed at the sustainability of fishing. fishing activity.Limitations: The Application tests will be carried out on land, since those that should be carried out on the high seas were suspended given the end of the harvest period of the target species of the participants.Originality: First electronic record of extractive fishing in the Mar del Plata port that allows online information to be obtained on the capture location, with respect to the current system that has the data uploaded on land, within 72 hours of the end of the tide. Keywords: electronic log; mobile app; fishing sector; southeast of Buenos Aires; digital transformation.
