Resumo: The need of rehabilitation’s information management has promoted the idea of a Rehabilitation Information Network. The experience and knowledge sharing would improve information and counselling services related with assistive technologies. A formal network composed by social institutions, Universities and theirs research units must be supported in appropriated information system. One of these systems must concern with technical aids, because there is an increasing need for useful and systematized information about them.The Information System for Technical Aids presented in this paper facilitates the interaction with the user by a userfriendly interface and a presents a multidisciplinary approach, answering the needs of those who deal directly or indirectly with technical aids.

A partilha de experiências e conhecimentos acumulados facilita a informação e o aconselhamento de tecnologias de apoio. Uma rede formal de intercâmbio entre instituições, Universidades e respectivas unidades de investigação deve ser suportada em sistemas de informação adequados. Um desses sistemas deve incidir sobre ajudas técnicas, pois há uma necessidade crescente em obter informação útil e sistematizada sobre ajudas técnicas.
