Resumo: In July 2020, the document “Strategic Vision for the Economic Recovery Plan for Portugal 2020-2030” was released, which was prepared by Professor António Costa Silva. The document intends to frame the options and priorities that should guide the recovery of the adverse economic effects caused by the current pandemic. The strategic vision outlined in the document serves as the basis for the recovery plan to be presented to the European Commission, with a view to allocating and using the available European funds. A summary of the chapter “The Health Sector and the Future” is presented. A visão estratégia delineada no documento serve de base para o plano de recuperação a apresentar à Comissão Europeia, com vista à alocação e utilização dos fundos europeus disponíveis.
