Resumo: This text presents a report on a pedagogical experience in music education, specifically inpiano lessons for children. Firstly, I provide some information about the context in whichthese lessons took place. Since the focus here is on creative practices, it goes on to thecommented exhibition of improvisations and compositions made by children. From theseexamples, I report on the creative processes and the considerations of pedagogical practicein dialogue with authors from music education and childhood studies areas. The mainobjectives are to contribute to understanding the particularities of musical development inchildhood in piano lessons and to the appreciation of the children's creations as afundamental factor in their learning processes.
