"A never ending story": A superação no início da construção do sonho de ser professor.

Resumo: This document comes within the scope of the school placement, inserted in the 2nd cycle of studies referring to the Master's degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education. The construction of this report was based on the experiences of a pre-service teacher (the author) throughout the school year, which had a great contribution to the construction of his professional identity. The school placement took place at a school in the metropolitan area of Porto, within a group made up of three pre-service teachers, a cooperating teacher from the cooperating school and professor from the Faculty. The constant search for knowledge and strategies, along with the overcoming of the preservice teacher, is reflected throughout this report, but especially in the chapter "A Batalha de Superação". The strategies and program developed in the area of physical fitness led this pre-service teacher to open new horizons about this subject in the school context. The study carried out had as its central purpose the analysis of students' learning at school, regarding the technical and tactical aspects throughout an handball didactic unit. The didactic units were similar in three different classes of secondary level. The results reveal some improvements in student learning, in relation to the beginning and end of the didactic unit, however most of the data is not statistically significant. The school placement resulted in a remarkable year for the pre-service teacher, since all the experiences and moments were central to his development, not only professionally, but also personally.
