This forum invites a selection of scholars coming from various thematic fields and countries to think about the concept of tradition, considered as one of our first conceptual tools and ethnographic objects of investigation. The authors reflexively discuss in which ways their research experiences challenge their own perceptions, understanding, and reframing of tradition. More than mapping new and allegedly new – or better “recycled” – ways in which social, ethnic, religious, or political groups use and manipulate traditions, the authors also address their perplexities with the notion of tradition. They thus add a specific layer of reflection, touching on temporality, methodology, and theoretical frames, to their practices of folklore and ethnology today.Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia (CRIA - NOVA FCSH)Departamento de Antropologia (DA)RUNIsnart, CyrilTesta, AlessandroBromberger, ChristianEriksen, AnneFikfak, JurijLeal, JoãoMugnaini, FabioHertz, EllenHutton, RonaldIsnart, CyrilNiedźwiedź, AnnaNoyes, DorothyTesta, Alessandra2020-10-28T23:28:02Z2020-01-012020-01-01T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/article20application/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/106330eng0425-4597PURE: 20126320https://doi.org/10.16995/ee.1998info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T04:51:22Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/106330Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:40:42.020607Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
