Since then, there has been a shift from analogue devices to digital ones. We are now in the digital era, in which people, processes, and technologies are more connected than ever. Information is everywhere, in everything. Enterprises are investing more in innovations to optimize their business models. Technologies such as the Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Cloud Computing are revolutionizing the way enterprises, academia, and politicians think and act in the face of innovation. It is the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The proposed study makes use of factor and cluster analysis to evaluate what the dimensions are that characterize the implementation of Industry 4.0 in different economic sectors and European Union countries. The study also tackles how the diverse sectors and countries compare to one another and, consequently, which of the two groups – sectors or countries – influence more strongly the discrepancies in Industry 4.0 implementation levels.Jesus, Frederico Miguel Campos Cruz Ribeiro deBranco, Isabel CasteloRUNHenriques, Maria Manuel de Amaro Brito2021-08-31T15:56:50Z2021-07-212021-07-21T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/123483TID:202759580enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T05:04:50Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/123483Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:45:04.368717Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
