The day-to-day activities that were once spread across several spaces – cars, cities, public transport, offices and other workplaces, schools, restaurants and bars – became, for many, confined to the domestic space, often shared between several people. The transposition of these activities to a domestic context eroded the distinction between places dedicated to leisure, and those dedicated to work and study. This shift also stimulated the creation of new sound and audiovisual content tailored for audiences in quarantine who accessed this content predominantly online. Musicians were also required to adapt, with the majority of their professional activity moving to digital mediums. In this paper, departing from three different online contexts - a video game, a YouTube channel and library music websites - we analyse and discuss some of the ways in which the pandemic motivated the creation and circulation of new digital and sound content, in addition to the impact of this content in day-to-day life during Covid-19. Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical (CESEM - NOVA FCSH)Departamento de Ciências Musicais (DCM)RUNFreitas, JoanaDurand, JúliaPorfirio, João Francisco2022-01-14T03:29:05Z2021-10-272021-10-27T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/article52application/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/130834engPURE: 36079871https://doi.org/10.21428/66f840a4.18b66567info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T05:09:27Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/130834Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:46:54.499351Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
