Resumo: Objective: To present a new technique that uses a 3D printed surgical guide to perform osteotomy and apicectomy, exposing examples of cases where it has been applied, its results and comparing it with the conventional technique. Methods: A literature search was conducted using the PubMed, B-on and Science Direct databases. This search was subjected to inclusion and exclusion criteria, in which only studies that were published and indexed in the aforementioned databases in the last sixteen years were included. Results: 33 articles resulted from the literature search, of which 29 were used. Conclusions: Endodontic microsurgery is a limiting intervention that allows treating endodontic lesions that do not respond to conventional endodontic treatment via orthograde: periapical lesion with cyst or difficulty in bypassing an anatomical obstacle.

Métodos: Foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa da literatura, com recurso à base de dados PubMed, B-on e Science Direct. Esta pesquisa foi submetida a critérios de inclusão e exclusão, em que apenas foram incluídos estudos que foram publicados e indexados nas bases de dados supracitadas nos últimos dezasseis anos. Resultados: Da pesquisa da literatura resultaram 33 artigos, dos quais foram utilizados 29.
