Da existência dual - luz e sombra como matéria, a critical and complementary thought is built about values and matters that covers the human natures instability and complexity. Nowadays, the matters remains a subject of discussion, due to refletions focused on light diminish the study and potential impact of the shadow in her perception and for the architecture. The current dissertation seeks to study the inseparable and complementary of light and shadow, for a possible response to the creation of a 'felicitous space'. This space transcends geometry and visual perception, in order to allow an action and experience that awakens the man emotional sensibility, such as memory, imagination and dreams, currently asleep. This is an invitation to those who believe that architecture developments may be raised from incessant need to questioning the fundamental and essence of this discipline. It will be through the world of light that many recognises that we dive ourselves in a world of shadow, in the mystic and unknown. Through a tension between both we can build an architecture that transcends the ordinary construction.
