Resumo: | The framework defines the “out of frame” in cinematic terminology. This expression refers to the area outside of the shot, which is therefore invisible to the camera. Nonetheless, even if well established, the frame edges are responsive to its surroundings, provoked by images, crowded with information and subjectivity. The unseen reality, absorbed with the remaining senses or by kinaesthesia, is an “out of frame” both psychological, abstract and undefined, taking into account its entire infinity. The “out of frame” goes hand in hand with the images and is pivotal to define what catches our attention. We act according to our “out of frame”. The correlation between what we witness visually and what we don’t remains an enigma, subjected to all means of expression. This project intends to frame images that allow for interpretations, whose elements repeatedly stimulate our visual experiences, sometimes uncertain and conflictive. In this movement of contradictions and in the relationship between symbolic language and its meanings, the quest for known senses is a temporal ambivalence between the visible and the invisible. How can we create such movement and trigger our subconscious devices through images, so one can experience the building up of sensations? From the “frame” to the sequence, from movement to stillness, one quests the image as a restless memory, an inexplicit sequential motion which makes us question our way of living. To tear apart predictable boundaries with the everyday, to evoke universal sensations such as desire, hollowness, anguish, pleasure, in a landscape at current time, with an unusual view that is the aim of the artistic project Invisible Reality |
