Resumo: | The project work presented here is built on my artistic practice, during the period corresponding to the master's degree in Multimedia Art. My practice makes use of various technics such as video, installation, photography or performance, to investigate the mechanisms of production of Truth present in the current reality, and how these mechanisms, often invisible, may be related to the construction of subjectivity. This work also presupposes the articulation between my practice, motivated by the questioning of the Truth/Reality dichotomy, and the necessity of this opposition today. After observing the thinking of several authors, thinkers and essayists of various generations (with emphasis on Plato, Friedrich Nietzsche, Hannah Arendt, Byung-Chul Han, Jean Baudrillard and Michael Foucault, among others, such as Aristotle, Martin Heidegger, Immanuel, Kant, Gianni Vatimo, Gilles Deleuze, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Roland Barthes, Guy Debord, Naomi Klein, Mark Poster, Gilles Lipovetsky, Jean Serroy or Donald Hoffman), three works of the Visual Arts (Gianni Motti, "Nothing by force, all with the mind", 1997; Pilvi Takala, "Real Snow White", 2009; Ivan Argote, "Fructose", 2016) are related with the truth/reality dichotomy, discussed in the previous chapter, conceptually associating the works, with the practical cases that will be presented in the last chapter, developed under the master degree: "Ostrich" (2016-2017) and "Trevum" (2016-2017). The practical cases mark the empirical component of this project work and initiate a set of pertinent thinking in the contemporaneity with respect to the concepts, notions and issues addressed |
