Resumo: Inspired by the relationship between cinema and education, this articleconsiders the knowledge of the experience of adolescents in the socio-educational system in Brazil concerning the teaching of documentary filmmaking. This knowledge was and is rehearsed by the intellectual sphere and is made possible by the co-creation between researchers and adolescents through the viewing of films like Da janela do meu quarto (2004), A clave dos pregões (2015) and Filme de rua (2017).
