A travelling exhibition on the Sustainable Development Goals: an instrument for Education for Sustainability

This paper focuses on the impact and educational possibilities of a traveling exhibition on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Exhibition was launched in 2019, as part of a research project focused on the training of Secondary Education teachers. It has a version in Spanish and another in Valencian, to contribute to its wider dissemination. The objective of this resource is twofold: on the one hand, to reorient the teaching project of the different subjects to incorporate the training of competences in Sustainability, facilitating the implementation of innovative proposals, and, on the other hand, to generate collaborative work dynamics for the design of activities that incorporate Sustainability in teaching, including examples of good practices. It has been installed more than 20 educational environments, mainly in Secondary Education and universities in Valencia, staying for around two or three weeks in each one. The results of the study have revealed the need to implement specific educational interventions that go beyond its contemplation, i.e., to develop specific activities around the Exhibition to facilitate the understanding of the 2030 Agenda and ensure the individual and collective involvement of the educational community with the SDGs.
