Introduction Daniel Filipe de Lima Moura (1949-2017), MD, PhD, was a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, dedicating his life and career to research in Pharmacology and teaching, mostly at FMUP. This dissertation aims to pay tribute to the life and work of Professor Daniel Moura, who, through his simplicity, humility, and dedication, without seeking fame or glory, became a remarkable and inspiring person for all who crossed paths with him, Materials And Methods Information was collected through interviews with his family and people who accompanied him throughout his life, both personally and professionally. Additionally, information was collected from reading documents avaliable at the Museum of Medical History "Maximiliano Lemos", at the Library of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, at the Repository of the University of Porto, at the Online National Library and at the University of Porto's Rectorate. Results He graduated in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 1975. He began his career as a professor that same year and at the same faculty as a monitor in the Pharmacology course. In 1992, he interned for six months at the prestigious Department of Pharmacology in Bonn, Germany. In 1998, the year he became a full Professor, he was Pro-Rector of the University of Porto. He served as Vice-Rector for Research and Quality of the University of Porto from 1999 to 2002. Discussion Professor Daniel Moura was exceptional in all the challenges he put himself throughout his life. Despite all the research and organizations he was involved in, he never neglected what brought him the most joy, teaching. He was closer to the students than anyone else and available almost all the time, was highlighted by many for his qualities as a University Professor. Conclusion Daniel Filipe de Lima Moura is still to this day, remembered by many as a model University Professor, Researcher, and Person for his unparalleled ability to convey his message clearly, for the scientific rigor in his research, and for the serenity of his presence.
