Resumo: The pursuit of new molecular magnets has driven this project into the synthesis of new materials with magnetic properties. The objective consists in synthetizing, determine the structure and studie the physical properties of new materials. Several new structures has been obtained. The main organic compounds used in this project were a quinoline derivative, the pyromellitic acid and a triazole derivative. In order to obtain molecular magnets, these organic compounds were synthetize with metal transitions, such as, copper and manganese. The results have showned a variety of coordination schemes such as monomer, dimers and chains. During the reading of this thesis you may found all the strutural data and the magnetic measurements that were performed.
