Resumo: As mulheres, por muito tempo, estiveram em uma posição de cuidadoras do lar e educação dos filhos. Tendo como direcionamento a pesquisa, buscou-se analisar o seu papel enquanto pesquisadoras. Analisamos o seu progresso no campo arquivístico, cuja base para tal análise é o Congresso Nacional de Arquivologia (CNA) durante as últimas oito edições. E para esta pesquisa nos direcionamos a entender e a verificar a representação feminina nas publicações no que se refere a autoria, coautoria e colaboração, além das principais temáticas em que elas tenham se dedicado no campo científico. Os dados foram analisados de forma quali-quantitativa, descritiva e explicativa em pontos cruciais dos dados tabulados. Desta forma, constatamos uma participação ativa, porém, ainda em processo de crescimento em comparação aos autores do sexo masculino.
