Resumo: In this article, I use Blanchot’s theories to analyze the issue of death and scripture, in Necrophilia (2010), by the poet Portuguese Jaime Rocha. I believe Necrophilia can be read as the drama of a character ruined by death. But also as the drama of the collapse of every notion of literary work. In this sense, the author’s image as an ‘empty-handed worker’ is explored. In this vision, Rocha abandons his work tools, abandons his work, resulting in a paradoxical constructive work. Necrophilia is then an unfinished work, and thus could not really end its “tetralogy of haunting”.

Nesse sentido, a imagem do autor como um “pedreiro de mãos nuas” é explorada. Nesta tese, Rocha, abandona sua pá, sua obra como fruto de um trabalho construtivo.
