Resumo: | This study aims to verify the perceptions and characteristics of smart tourism destinations in Brasília, as well as the barriers faced to implement them and the priority actions to convert Brasilia into an intelligent destination, based on the opinion of relevant tourism stakeholders in the city. A quantitative survey was carried out with the members of the Tourism Development Council of the Federal District (CONDETUR). Online questionnaires were applied and analyzed using descriptive statistics. It was identified insufficient practices related to the areas of sustainability, accessibility and innovation and few use of technologies applied to tourism in Brasilia. The main barriers were related to a limited public budget and the lack of a defined strategy, while the priority actions are the diffusion of the concept among managers and others involved with the tourism activity and the support to the planning and promotion of intelligence practices. The results indicate that although the concept is familiar to managers and considered fundamental, its implementation in institutions and government entities is scarce. |

Smart Tourism Destinations: perspectives of tourism stakeholders in Brasília (DF, Brazil)Destinos turísticos inteligentes (DTI): a visão de atores chaves do turismo em Brasília (DF, Brasil)This study aims to verify the perceptions and characteristics of smart tourism destinations in Brasília, as well as the barriers faced to implement them and the priority actions to convert Brasilia into an intelligent destination, based on the opinion of relevant tourism stakeholders in the city. A quantitative survey was carried out with the members of the Tourism Development Council of the Federal District (CONDETUR). The results indicate that although the concept is familiar to managers and considered fundamental, its implementation in institutions and government entities is scarce.
