Resumo: | In the last years, Portuguese footwear presents a growth tendency due to the reinvigoration of the sector that permitted to improve not only the footwear quality but also the investment in stylish models. These changes allowed Portuguese footwear to be more than ever a success across borders. Josefinas, a Portuguese footwear company, has the desire to internationalize its business and to share with the world, and specifically with the Chinese market, the art of the Portuguese footwear artisans. This internationalization project has the main objective to create a business plan that will enable Josefinas to internationalize to China. After opening a physical store in New York, USA, and gained visibility in the American market, the company wants now to gain market share in China. There, the company is looking for cosmopolitan and fashionconscious women with the desire of unique footwear. This business plan will allow to understand the existing market opportunities for Josefinas in China, and the proposed approach in the development and implementation strategy. In the implementation plan, the emphasis in on the marketing mix, and in the necessary changes in the company’s processes and operations that will allow this internationalization to happen. All the necessary changes will be evaluated in the company financials analysis. |

All the necessary changes will be evaluated in the company financials analysis.Nos últimos anos, o calçado Português tem apresentado uma tendência de crescimento que se deveu, em parte, ao rejuvenescimento do setor, permitindo melhorar não só a qualidade do calçado produzido, mas também o investimento em modelos mais apelativos. Estas alterações fazem do calçado português um sucesso além-fronteiras, sem precedentes. Josefinas, uma empresa de calçado português, tem o desejo de internacionalizar o seu negócio e de partilhar com o mundo, e em especial com o mercado chinês, a arte dos artesãos portugueses de calçado. Este projeto de internacionalização tem como principal objetivo criar um plano de negócio que permita à empresa internacionalizar-se para a China. Depois da abertura de uma loja física em Nova Iorque, nos EUA, e de ganhar visibilidade no mercado americano, a companhia quer agora aumentar a sua quota de mercado na China. Neste mercado, as Josefinas têm como target mulheres cosmopolitas, fashion e que procuram calçado único e personalizado. Este plano de negócio vai permitir perceber as oportunidades de mercado existentes para as Josefinas e explorar a estratégia de implementação e desenvolvimento. A estratégia de implementação está focada no marketing mix da empresa e nas alterações necessárias aos seus processos e operações para permitir que a internacionalização seja possível.
