Tempos múltiplos, sobrepostos e segregados: narrativas no Luxemburgo316.334.56Dissertação de mestrado em Comunicação, Arte e CulturaEste estudo etnográfico pretende documentar a multiplicidade, sobreposição e segregação de tempos e temporalidades no contexto urbano e perspetivar a cidade como um complexo de tempos (em convívio e em conflito), passível de “leitura” e construção social, a partir do qual é possível, construir uma narrativa válida para a cidade. Este estudo foi realizado no Luxemburgo no âmbito de um período de mobilidade Erasmus. A metodologia adotada é qualitativa com recurso a entrevistas em movimento. Foram realizadas dez entrevistas ao longo dos trajetos casa-trabalho a indivíduos residentes no próprio país (Luxemburgo) e também aos residentes nos países limítrofes (França, Alemanha e Bélgica). Neste estudo, é dada particular atenção à capacidade de apropriação do espaço e de usos do(s) tempo(s) pelos atores sociais, por meio de táticas que, por sua vez, de forma quase invisível, levam à redefinição das estratégias (definidas pelos grupos e instituições dominantes). Por outro lado, é dado particular destaque ao lugar do investigador ao longo de todo o processo de investigação. A sua presença é assumida; nunca disfarçada ou negada. Em último lugar, pretende-se destacar o caráter repetitivo e cíclico do trajeto casa-trabalho, sugerir que ele marca o início e o fim de um tempo (tempo pessoal/tempo profissional); a entrada e saída de um espaço (casa/trabalho); e, ao mesmo tempo, ele próprio constitui um tempo e um espaço específico – uma heterotopia. De forma global, o estudo pretende contribuir para uma reflexão acerca dos tempos múltiplos, sobrepostos e segregados experienciados em contexto urbano ilustrando as suas diferentes perceções, apropriações e usos por parte dos indivíduos.The aim of this ethnographic study is to illustrate the multiplicity, superposition and segregation of times and temporalities in the urban context and to give a perspective of the city as a complex of times (in a peaceful or conflictual relation), able to be “read” and to become a social construction; by means of which becomes possible to construct a valid narrative of the city. This research was done at Luxembourg, during an Erasmus mobility period of one year. It was adopted a qualitative methodology and used a go-along method. Ten persons were interviewed along their home/work path; some of them living in Luxembourg and some others, living in neighbor countries (Belgium, France and Germany) but in both cases working at Luxembourg. In this study, a particular attention is given to the appropriation of space and to the time uses by the social actors, by means of tactics that, in an almost invisible way, lead to the redefinition of strategies (defined by the dominant groups and institutions). It is also important to highlight the role of the researcher along all the steps of the research; his presence is never uncovered or denied, but must be assumed. At last, it’s important to refer the cyclical and repetitive character of the home/work path, suggesting that it marks the beginning and the end of a specific time (personal time/ professional time); a way in and a way out of a space (home/work); and at the same time, it constitutes itself a specific time and space – Heterotopia.
