This work aims to understand, through the project, how the rental housing spaces can be produced, within the limits defined by the plots that characterize Rua da Bainharia, in Morro da Sé. This parcel division is a very old urban element, which is quickly identified as a sign of the Historic Center of Porto. Given the changes in contemporary society and the new housing demands, this part of the city, which was classified as heritage, was included in the areas subject to urban rehabilitation plans. For this reason, it is important to understand the potential of the plot to adapt to other situations, without ceasing to be part of the dynamics of everyday life, or losing its identity. The complexity resides in defining a form of flexibility, which is not based solely on direct interventions on the space, but rather allows the construction of various programs and forms of spatial organization.
