Resumo: Future Problem Solving Program International (FPSPI) is an international validated educative program that involves children and youth. Creative Problem Solving and Futuristic Thinking make its theoretical framework. It is directed to the promotion of creative thinking skills, critical and analytical thinking, using a futuristic approach to problems. In this study, we sought to evaluate the effects of this program on creative skills assessed by the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, Figurative version (Form A). Intervention involved 51 teenagers, for seven months, in an extracurricular context. The evaluation of the program effects had two different time points (pre-test and post-test) and took into account identical control and experimental groups. Statistically significant differences were found in all the evaluated skills, indicating a positive impact of the FPSPI program in this sample. These results are contextualized, described and discussed, raising awareness to future applications and program research in Portugal.
