Resumo: Recentemente o forte aumento dos preços do petróleo e, sobretudo, dos produtos alimentares, parece ameaçar o continente africano com a fome. As causas dessa situação têm várias origens conhecidas, internas e externas. Mas é certamente na aplicação da ideologia neoliberal que podemos encontrar um elemento comum, porventura mais fundamental, que tem vindo a agravar a crise, em particular nos países menos desenvolvidos.
