Resumo: Traditional archaeological conceptions considered materials as inert and passive, capable of obtaining shape only through the action of a human agent. New approaches lead us to rethink these links that underlie our past interpretations, basically that materials and its properties are constantly changing and in each new articulation new properties will emerge. Following this line, the tour through the different materialities of the plants involved in the manufacture of a basket is based on the study of the marks of its tracing in the ceramics of the pre-colonial societies of the central region of Argentina (Córdoba). Through a situational analysis, relational and rhythm-analytic, some of the interpretative potentialities of an approach that considers the materials from another perspective will be shown.
