Resumo: | The purpose of this paper is to design a high-performance cluster architecture for the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Sede Esmeraldas (PUCESE), which will allow high performance support in applications or services that require it. With cluster technology, the ICT department of PUCESE could improve the redundancy of data in the services that are managed, in this way there would be business continuity in the event of an error in the current systems that are managed to carry out the correct backup of information. This research focuses on presenting a cluster architecture design to improve the processes used in servers by means of mirror disks to carry out high availability of data. In addition, a technical solution based on the waterfall methodology is used for the design of the cluster creation processes. Also, a description of the requirements of the desired system configurations to achieve a high availability cluster is detailed, then the design and hardware and software details for this possible implementation are defined, in the same way, the times and resources are established. to launch this technology. Therefore, this study is structured as follows: the introduction, related articles where the background of the research is detailed, then the state of the art is reflected, where the theoretical foundations related to the conceptual aspects required for this project are highlighted, therefore The methodology and tools used for the development of the study based on the design of a cluster architecture for the ICT department of PUCESE are indicated, following the results obtained after the design of the cluster, and finally the conclusions and recommendations of the study. |

Con la tecnología clúster el departamento de TIC de la PUCESE podría mejorar la redundancia de datos en los servicios que se manejan, de esta manera se tendría la continuidad del negocio en caso de existir algún error en los sistemas actuales que se manejan para llevar a cabo el correcto respaldo de información. La presente investigación se enfoca en presentar un diseño de arquitectura de clúster para mejorar los procesos que se emplean en los servidores por medio de discos espejos para llevar a cabo una alta disponibilidad de los datos. Además, se emplea una solución técnica basada en la metodología de cascada para el diseño de los procesos de la creación del clúster. También, se detalla una descripción de los requerimientos de las configuraciones del sistema deseado para alcanzar un clúster de alta disponibilidad, luego se define el diseño y los detalles de hardware y software para esta posible implementación, del mismo modo, se establecen los tiempos y recurso para poner en marcha esta tecnología. Por ende, este estudio está estructurado de la siguiente manera: la introducción, artículos relacionados donde se detallan antecedentes de la investigación, luego se plasma el estado del arte donde se destacan los fundamentos teóricos relacionados con los aspectos conceptuales requeridos para este proyecto, por consiguiente se indica la metodología y herramientas utilizadas para el desarrollo del estudio basado en el diseño de una arquitectura de clúster para el departamento de TIC de la PUCESE, siguiendo de los resultados obtenidos luego del diseño del clúster, y finalmente las conclusiones y recomendaciones del estudio.O objetivo deste artigo é projetar uma arquitetura de cluster de alto desempenho para o Departamento de Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Equador Sede Esmeraldas (PUCESE), que permitirá suporte de alto desempenho em aplicativos ou serviços que exigem isto. Com a tecnologia de cluster, o departamento de TIC da PUCESE poderia melhorar a redundância de dados nos serviços que são gerenciados, desta forma haveria continuidade do negócio em caso de erro nos sistemas atuais que são gerenciados para realizar o backup correto dos em formação.
