Resumo: Due to environmental changes increasingly occurring on the planet, the consideration of the influence of human behavior resulting from the current way of living becomes a fundamental subject to be analyzed. ln this sense, the idea of creating the Center for Regenerative and Sustainability Studies (GERES) was born, focused on the development of research and environmental education. The present study aims to analyze the surroundings of a building, designed to be implemented, whose project was guided, both by principies associated with permaculture, by Mollison and Holmgren (1983), and by the pattern language, by Alexander et al. (1977). ln this work, the items present in the building's surroundings were listed, as well as those associated with its architecture, based on a theoretical approach on "ethics, action and design", thus making it possible to observe its relevance in the teaching environmental issues.
