Resumo: Ecotourism is low-impact nature tourism that contributes to the maintenance of species and habitats. Protected natural areas, such as the Permanent Preservation Area (PPA), become a means of contacting nature in a sustainable way, with the aim of conservation and environmental awareness. Riparian forests are APP, and it is necessary to know the importance of this environment in terms of its environmental function, and its role in the well-being of the population. Environmental interpretation is important for the awareness of visitors in natural environments and a means of contact and integration with nature. The present study aims to plan an interpretive trail in a riparian forest PPA. The physical characterization of the trail and its interpretative potential were analyzed by the method of Attractiveness Index of Interpretive Points (AIIP). The trail is considered short distance, linear, falls into the category of moderate level. It was possible to identify a great wealth of fauna and flora for the place. 15 interpretative points were raised
