Resumo: The circumstantial conflict between the kingdoms of Hamath and Arpad/Bit-Agusi turned into a regional problem because it occurred on access routes to the southern Levant, a region of independent territories on which Assyria intends to implement its provincial system. Therefore, the solution to the conflict concerns the imperial structure created by Assyria in the ancient Near East. The monument is represented as a social agent or Aramaean index that founds a new political program in the face of the sieges of the Neo-Assyrian empire. This research aims to expose the Antakya monument in the political geography of northern Levant. In the monument’s historiographical exposition, the political geography of which Hamat and Arpad/Bit-Agusi were part will be highlighted, as well as the ancient cultural integrations in the Orontes valley, aiming to analyze the conflict caused by the demarcation of the borders.
